Delwaine D. Baumann

Delwaine D. Baumann, age 77, of Wausau, died Friday, March 21, 2014, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Delwaine was born March 30, 1936, in Wausau, son of the late Wilbur and Frances (Walters) Baumann.  He married Shirley Kufahl on October 3, 1959, in the Town of Pine River, Lincoln County.  She preceded him in death on June 18, 1998.  Delwaine was a veteran and served with the Army National Guard.  He worked for the United States Postal Service.  Delwaine enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He was one of the original members of the Kufahl Deer Hunting Clan.  He was a member of several pool and bowling leagues in the Wausau area.  Delwaine enjoyed logging and cutting firewood, and spending time at his cottage in Tomahawk.  Delwaine was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wausau.  
Survivors include his daughter, Shauna (Ryan Hable) Baumann, of Whiting; his son, Aaron (Barb) Baumann, of Wausau; two step grandchildren, Nathan (Amanda Gebert) Toschner and Holly Mecikalski; five step great-grandchildren, Taylor, Alex, Jada, Jarvis and Keyshon; and two brothers, Wilbur ‘Sonny’ (Marilyn) Baumann, Jr. and Gerald (Betsy) Baumann, of Wausau.  Delwaine was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Baumann; his parents, Wilbur and Frances Baumann; his brother, Alan Baumann; and his brothers-in-law, Reuben (Louise) Kufahl and Wayne Kufahl.  
The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wausau.  The Rev. Kemp Jones and The Rev. Nancy Johnson-Russell will co-officiate.  Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau, at a later date.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the church.  The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
