October 14

Received a report of a burglary to a garage in the 400 block of E. 6th St where a number of tools were stolen.

An orange colored Rampage bike was reported stolen from the 200 block of E. 2nd St.

In the 1000 block of E. Main St., two males age 28 and 39, walked on freshly poured cement, disregarding the barrels and Do No Enter signs and they damaged the cement. They were cited for damage to property.

Received two reports of houses being egged by someone overnight.

A 37-year-old male was brought to jail for charges of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child.

October 15

10:26 p.m.- Lincoln Co. dispatch received an anonymous complaint of an intoxicated driver. The vehicle was located by an officer and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver fled from police and after a brief foot pursuit was arrested for resisting an officer. He was also arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (2nd offense).

Officers went to a noise complaint at a bar in the 100 block of Prospect St. During the complaint, the bartender was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

October 16

Male subject reported that someone stole the stereo from the dash of his vehicle and that his dashboard was damaged.

October 17

3:23 p.m.- officers were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of E. 2nd St. The resident called after someone had attempted to kick in his backdoor. He believed they were attempting to burglarize the residence. Once they realized the occupant was home they left. They were located at another residence. The female who answered the door lied stating they were not there. She was cited for obstructing an officer. One of the males was wearing shoes that matched the imprint on the backdoor. He was arrested for bail jumping as he was intoxicated in violation of his bond. The attempted burglary portion is still under investigation.

3:56 p.m.- an off-duty Merrill PD investigator reported a hit and run crash that occurred in the Culvers parking lot. The vehicle was located and the driver admitting to striking another vehicle in the parking lot. The driver was cited for operating a motor vehicle with no insurance and hit & run.

10:25 p.m.- officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1400 block of E. Main St. The caller reported someone had smashed the headlights and taillights on his vehicle. He suspected his ex-girlfriend and a male companion of hers and a witness saw a vehicle matching the description of his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle leaving the area with only the running lights on. The ex-girlfriend was spoken to but denied involvement claiming someone may have borrowed her vehicle. Later, at 1:55 a.m., an officer saw the ex-girlfriend’s vehicle driving past the residence honking the horn. A traffic stop was conducted and a male passenger was arrested for 2 counts of felony bail jumping as he was intoxicated in violation of one of his bonds. A female passenger was arrested for 2 counts of misdemeanor bail jumping as she too had been drinking in violation of her bonds. The ex-girlfriend was cited for disorderly conduct and also admitted she had caused the damage earlier. She was also cited for damage to property.

October 18

At approximately 1:55 a.m. officers were watching a residence due to vandalism being done there. Officer observed a 38-year-old woman honking the horn repeatedly driving by the house. The vehicle was stopped, the 38-year-old woman was cited for breaking a persons headlamps earlier in the night. Two passengers were taken to jail on Bail Bond violations due to being intoxicated.

Received a report that a vehicle had been entered and rummaged through.

A 16 year old was cited for failure to yield at uncontrolled intersection after investigating a crash on Scott St.

A GPS was stolen out of a vehicle while parked at different spots in the city.

October 19

Officers located a 60 year old male in the 1300 block of E. 6th St. that had extraditable warrants from Texas and Illinois, he was taken to jail.

A Tony hawk trick bike was stolen from the middle school.

A residence in the 100 block of Thomas St. was forcibly entered, prescriptions, and other items were stolen.

A residence in the 1600 block of E. 12th was struck with eggs.

Received numerous reports of pumpkins being smashed, and vandalism to Halloween decorations, any persons found doing this will be arrested.

October 20

Officers took numerous complaints of pumpkins smashed and/or Halloween decorations vandalized.

10:46 a.m.- a male reported his vehicle stolen from the 200 of East St. The keys had been left in the vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered.

An officer assisted the Wisconsin Dept. of Revenue in serving a delinquent tax warrant at a local business. Money, alcohol and video gaming proceeds were seized.

11:18 p.m.- an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle squeal its tires and then proceed the wrong way down a one-way street. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (3rd offense). A passenger was arrested for a warrant through LaCrosse County.

Someone threw eggs at a residence in the 1200 block of Elm St, damage to the house included a hole in a screen door.
