SCOTT EDITOR On Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2024, the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) and Johnson Financial Group announced the products voted into the top 16 statewide in the popular vote, which garnered nearly 40,000 votes for the 130 different nominated products. Those 16 favorite products, which included Weinbrenner/Thorogood’s American Heritage 6″ Tobacco Safety Toe Work Boot, will now compete head-to-head in a tournament-style bracketed competition called “Manufacturing Madness.” Voting began yesterday and is open until 5 p.m. on Oct. 1. Voters can cast their ballots for their favorite in each of the eight match-ups at: www.madeinwis.com. “Congratulations to the top 16 Coolest Things Made in Wisconsin,” said Nick Novak, WMC’s Vice President of Communications & Marketing. “Not only do these products represent the diversity of things made in Wisconsin, they represent the high-tech, high-skill and high-wage career opportunities found in the manufacturing sector. The Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest engages the public with the great work being done by our state’s manufacturers.” The winners in this bracketed round will then be pitted against each other in the tournament, and another round of voting will begin, so keep checking back on the website daily to vote. |
