On Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, the Merrill Girls Varsity Swim Team traveled to Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School to compete in the Raider Invitational. Seven schools dove in to compete: Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln, Black River Falls, Holmen Co-op, Lakeland Union High School, Menomonie, and Merrill.
“Merrill finished second at the Raider Invite behind only the Division 1 Holmen Co-op Team,” Kristie Winter, Head Varsity Swim Coach said. “We had many season best times – a good indication we are where we need to be as we head into our first Wisconsin Valley Conference meet this week against Wausau East.”
“The girls are working hard at practice and it is showing in the pool,” she said.
