Patricia (Pat) B. Alberg, 98, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024 and is now resting in eternal Heaven with her beloved husband, Duane.
Pat was born to the late Emerson Ball and Ann O’Connell on September 17, 1925 in Tomahawk, WI. She graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1943.
She was married on June 1, 1946 at St Mary Catholic Church shortly after Duane returned home from WWII and had almost 70 joyous years together. Together, Duane & Pat had two children – Mark & Lois.
Pat loved to spend time with her family – she was in attendance at all of their activities – from dance recitals, sporting events and theater shows. She loved to be out at the lake, golfing, sewing, knitting, crocheting and dancing with Duane & with friends. Pat was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She volunteered for many duties associated with church – money counting, scheduling, Calvary Cemetery Secretary, Renew Bible study group and the American Red Cross blood mobile.
Pat worked during senior year of high school on weekday afternoons and weekends as a stenographer for the Wisconsin Conservation Dept for 5yrs. She then changed jobs to work at Owen’s Illinois Paper Mill doing Secretarial and Computer Operations until she retired on December 31, 1983.
Pat is survived by her son, Mark (Jackie); her daughter, Lois (Dave) both of Tomahawk. Six loving grandkids Danielle Engel (Jeff Kuhn) Monona, WI; Stacy Hilgendorf Gales (Mark) Franklin, WI; Andy Alberg (Sarah), Michelle Nelson (Nate), Melissa Kahle (Jason) all of Tomahawk & Shawn Alberg (Erica Shelter) of Black Earth, WI. She is also survived by 22 adoring great grandchildren and a sister, Joan Ball of California.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers, Jim & Howard Ball, her sister, Mary Ann Timm.
Mass of Christian Burial for Pat will take place at 11:00a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Aloysius Anthony officiating. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 4, from 4:00p.m. to 7p.m. at Krueger-Nimsgern Funeral Home with vigil service at 7:00p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Thursday from 9:00a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00a.m. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Tomahawk.
