The Merrill Edward Burns Post 46 Legion Baseball Team finished their 2024 season just short of a State Tournament berth after a loss to Medford in the Regional Championship. The team finished the season with a 12-12 record in a loaded Wisconsin Valley Conference over the summer, splitting games with every valley team except Wisconsin Rapids. They also won the Championship at their home tournament for the first time in many years.
Post 46 was led by a very strong group of Seniors who have played (and won) a lot of games in their careers. They were also complemented by a great mix of talented underclassmen that will keep Merrill Baseball strong for the foreseeable future. Second Baseman, Cooper Wendorf, was the lone All-Conference selection this season to go along with six other finalists from the team.
Merrill Post 46 Legion Baseball would like to sincerely thank all of the players, families, fans, and supporters for another great season and would like to invite everyone to the ballpark next summer to support the team.
