The Lincoln County Fair will run this week from Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024 through Sunday, Aug. 11. This year’s lineup is packed with the normal fairgoing attractions – carnival rides, games, lots of food, beer tents, music, farm animals, fair exhibits, butter carving contest, tractor pulls, and a whole lot more!
Plus, this year the Lincoln County Fair Board is introducing a few new things to draw fairgoers down to the Merrill Fair Grounds. Grandstand entertainment will include Eli Alger and the Faster Horses, a band from Nashville, Thursday evening at 7 p.m.; an Interactive Lumberjack Camp at 6 p.m. Friday evening, followed by an All American Lumberjack Show at 7 p.m.; Antique Tractor Pull at 11 a.m. and traditional Tractor Pull at 6 p.m., both on Saturday; and Demolition Derby at 1 p.m., including a new Kids Power Wheels Demolition Derby where kids ages 3-10 will operate their power wheels to try to pop the balloons of their opponents before their balloons are popped or their battery dies. Tickets for Grandstand events will be available on-site.
Ace Justice, an eight-foot tall interactive robot, will be roaming the grounds at times during the day, and there will be free agri-golf mini golf at the Fair Grounds, too!
Plus, the Entertainment Booth will feature live entertainment every night Wednesday through Saturday, starting with The Alternators and their special guests, the Merrill High School Jazz Band Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.; Honkeytonk Highway Thursday evening at 9 p.m.; Stetsin and Lace Friday night at 7 p.m.; and Bogfoot followed by Black of Heart starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday Night. New Testament Church will offer services in the tent at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
Don’t forget to visit the Brickyard School, and stop in to see the exhibits and livestock and small animals 4-H’ers have been working hard on all year long!
Carnival ride wrist bands are $25 in advance or $30 at the ticket booth at the fair, with wristand times as follows: Wednesday and Thursday from 6-10 p.m. and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. This year a Mega Band will also be available for $100 in advance or $125 at the ticket booth. Advance wristbands are available at Dave’s County Market, Park City Credit Union’s Merrill and Tomahawk locations, and both the Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce and Tomahawk Chamber of Commerce.
As always, admission to the Lincoln County Fair is free, although there is a charge for parking in the Fair Grounds – $5 per day or $15 for a season pass.
Hope to see you at the fair!
