Wolves recently depredated (i.e., killed) a beef calf and injured an adult cow on a farm located in the Town of Pine River in Lincoln County, according to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Wildlife Services verified the depredation and injury on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
DNR said non-lethal abatement options are being discussed with the livestock producer.
