Ronald Lee Kriehn of Merrill was called by the Lord to Heaven on May 29th, 2024, at the age of 79 when he was at the Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin. Ronald was born December 26th, 1944 in the town of Hamburg, the son of Erwin and Olga Kriehn. He was baptized on January 17th , 1945 and was confirmed on May 3rd, 1959 with his verse from Hebrews 13:5 “Be content with such things as ye have; for He hath said: I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.”
He married Mary Lou Jauernig, February 1st, 1969. They have two sons Kenneth and Kevin.
Ron graduated from Merrill High school in 1965. After High School, he went to Marathon County Technical Institute with a Vocational degree in Printing. After graduating he had several jobs. The last was Walmart after retiring from Lincoln Wood Products.
Ron enjoyed bowling. He received the Melvin Jones Fellow Award and Testimonial of Sincere Appreciation award from the Merrill Lions, which he was a member and Past President of.
Ron was also an Merrill Fraternal Order Eagles member.
Survivors include his wife Mary Lou Kriehn, sons Kenneth (Rebecca) Kriehn, and Kevin Kriehn, one granddaughter Adria Kriehn, brother Gerald (Judy) Kriehn, and many nieces and nephews with their spouses and their children. We was proceed in death by his parents Erwin and Olga Kriehn, brother Eugene (Barb) Kriehn, and sister Dawn (Jack) Kleinschmidt,.
The visitation is 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a possible Eagles service. The Memorial service will start 11:00 am, Thursday, June 13th, 2024 at ST. John Lutheran Church, Merrill WI. The Reverend David Szeto will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church at 9:00 am Thursday.
