In 1993, by the Board of Trustees of the Wisconsin Dental Association, Dr. Tom was honored with the Dental Care for Older Persons Award. He was a dedicated and an outstanding contributor for the oral health of the elderly.
In 1967 and 1968, Dr. Tom participated in the Fantasticks and Bye Bye Birdie productions put on by the Wausau Community Theater. In the 1960’s, he started Video Recorders Intl. for broadcast productions. Dr. Tom enjoyed being organistfor many weddings, funerals, and services.
Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth (Garret) Perry; cousins, Barbara (Matt) Matter, Debbie Gilani, David (Patti) Banks, J.P. (Kathy) Banks, and Kathy Banks; longtime special friends, Warren and Marlene Schmidt; and many great patients and great neighbors.
Dr. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Eugene Krembs and Dorothy (Seicheck) Krembs; and aunts and uncles, Edgar and Mae (Seicheck) Wieseke, Emil Krembs, Fr. Phil Krembs, Richard Krembs, John Krembs, Lenore (Krembs) Banks, Robert Banks, and Nader Gilani.
The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 P.M., Noon, Thursday, January 4, 2024, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill. Father Mariadas Vallabhaneni will preside. The burial will take place in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Merrill. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in celebration and thanksgiving of Dr. Tom to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church – 1708 E. Tenth St., Merrill, WI; Pine Crest Nursing Home – 2100 E. Sixth St., Merrill; or the Merrill Historical Society – 100 E. Third St., Merrill.
