Philip E. Woller

Philip E. Woller, 65, of Plover, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023, at his home.

Philip was born November 15, 1957, in Merrill, son of the late Laverne and Donna (Beste) Woller. He married Nancy Hagedorn on November 16, 1996, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Merrill. They moved to Plover, WI after their marriage.

Phil worked at Lemke Cheese and Marathon Cheese. When he and Nancy moved to Plover, he took a job with Dunkin’ Donuts and worked there for over twenty years. In his younger years, Phil was the drummer and a singer for the Polka Twins. He enjoyed singing karaoke, pulling pull-tabs, and having pizza night with “the (neighborhood) ladies.” Phil enjoyed keeping a tidy place and always helped his family, friends and neighbors. He was always present at all the family gatherings.

Survivors include his son, Matt (Wendy) Woller of Tigerton; sister, Penny Zoellner (Thomas May) of Gleason; brothers, Kim (Debra) Woller of Wausau, Tom (Linda) Woller of Rothschild, Scott (Carrie) Woller of Hatley, Mark (Sally) Woller of Merrill, and Lyle Woller of Hatley; sister-in-law, Joan Hagedorn of Madison; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Philip was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Hagedorn-Woller; parents, Laverne and Donna Woller; siblings, Leigh Ann Woller and Brian Woller; brother-in-law, Lee Zoellner; and his in-laws, Richard and Dolores Hagedorn, Richard Hagedorn Jr., Mark Hagedorn, and Dan Hagedorn.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Justin Smoot will officiate. Burial will take place in St. James Cemetery, Town of Pine River. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Wednesday at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill is assisting the family.
