Making a few changes this Make A Difference Day
Merrill’s 28th annual Make A Difference Day will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, with registration for volunteers at 8:30 a.m. at the T.B. Scott Library.
Projects will run from 9 a.m. until about noon. There will be a bus for volunteers that don’t have other transportation. Workers should bring rakes and gloves. No lunch will be served this year, but cookies, soda, water, and other goodies will be plentiful.
If you need help raking your yard, please contact Stacy Stevens at 414.539.0182 by Wednesday, Oct. 25. Letters were sent to all homeowners who had their yards raked last year with a postcard to return. All homeowners requesting help must register each year. Homeowners are reminded to have enough CLEAR plastic bags for yard waste available for workers.
Individuals volunteering to rake yards can sign up the day of the event. If possible, groups and organizations should call the number listed above to give an approximate number of youth and adults volunteering. Please consider giving a few hours of your time to help those in our community in need. Working together-WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
