It’s a Jeep thing!

By some counts, 80+ Jeeps came out in force, first congregating at Les & Jim’s Lincoln Lanes/Center Grill in Merrill last Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, before heading out on their 5th Annual Fall Ride. The ride, open to all Jeeps, was organized by Central and Northern Wisconsin Jeep Owners, and Jeep owners were welcome to bring their Jeeps and come for the ride. Center Grill opened early to provide treats and beverages prior to the ride, and the Cenex gas station across the street made it easy for drivers to fill up on gas and snacks for the ride. Participants gathered beginning at 7 a.m. and headed out at 9 a.m.
The ride included black top roads, gravel roads, and some riding on trails through the woods, with opportunities to splash through some nice big puddles and a few muddy ruts after all the rain Friday night and into Saturday morning, but that just added to the fun and excitement.
The event was scheduled to go about three hours or so and ended up back at Les & Jim’s for more food and drinks for those who were so inclined and an opportunity to reminisce about the ride and talk more about their Jeeps.
