Free Community Pig Roast and Day on the Farm
Wounded Warriors United of Wisconsin, headquartered in Gleason at their Country Haven Farm, provides a retreat for Wisconsin veterans. To introduce more people in central Wisconsin to their farm and programs, they are sponsoring a Community Pig Roast and Day on the Farm, free to the first 400 people to register. (Registration required for all, children included.)
Hosts Otto and Vickie Reetz are planning a pig roast with all the fixin’s, a 3D archery range, corn hole, hay wagon rides, farm tours and opportunities to meet the animals, and live music all day by Country Rewind. Plan to bring your own lawn chairs and leave your pets at home. Trained service dogs are welcome.
Festivities start at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023.
