Thursday night concerts in the gazebo at Merrill’s Normal Park, now dubbed Thorogood Thursdays at Normal Park due to their event sponsorship, are set to begin on Thursday, July 13, 2023. [Thorogood is a Division of Weinbrenner Shoe Company, headquartered in Merrill.]
Tuck Pence will kick things off on July 13 at 6 p.m. and the community is invited to bring a lawn chair or spread a blanket on the grass and enjoy free musical entertainment in the park. Additional sponsors Park City Credit Union, Reindl Printing, Ed & Sharon’s, and Merrill Sheet Metal helped make the Tuck Pence performance possible.
Thorogood Thursdays are scheduled to bring live music to the park every Thursday, except Aug. 17 during the Lincoln County Fair, from July 13 through Aug. 31. Musical genres will vary from week to week, with something for everyone and the return of some of the most popular performers back by popular demand.
From Beatles hits performed by The Britins to a little oompah-pah-pah by Neal Zunker and the Music Connection, to the instrumental variety and vocals Copper Box brings to the gazebo, Normal Park will be the place to be on Thursday evenings this summer.
