St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Hwy. P in the Town of Pine River held their annual three-day “Party on P” bash on June 16, 17, and 18, 2023, on the church grounds.
Music and dancing under the big tent were a big hit all three days, with live music by Carl Jackson, Mark Wayne, Grudgeville Grass, KT Country, Bryce Thomaschefsky, and Jim Pekol and GB Band, and a polka church service on Sunday.
Between the Greg Metz fish fry on Friday, the BBQ chicken dinner on Sunday, and food and drinks at the concession stand, there was plenty of food and refreshments.
Kids enjoyed the free bouncy house and games, and raffles provided a chance to walk away a winner at the end of the day on Sunday.
What initially began in 2001 as a one-day church cookout for the people of St. Paul’s parish, has evolved in the 22 years since into a local event that draws people in from throughout Lincoln County and the surrounding areas, with a focus on a wide variety of styles of live music and something for everyone in the family to enjoy.
