Diane Sanders, 70 of Merrill passed away peacefully surrounded by her children at UW Madison on May 5, 2023. Born in Wausau, she married, moved, and lived in several states. Diane retired from Wal-Mart after 33 years and was working at Mitchell Metals. Diane was a member of St. Paul’s UCC, Wausau. There she helped with about a dozen different annual events and fundraisers. In addition to church, she was very active in the community; CMN, Relay for Life (Hope Heroes) and Haven to name a few. She was selfless. Always helping others. Diane was loved by many people. She had people all over the county who considered her their “Mom” and “Grandma.”
Daughter of Arnold and Margaret (Wendt) Czerwinski; Wife of Charles D. Sanders (deceased). Survived by her brothers Dale and Dean (Susie) Czerwinski of Merrill, WI. Children: Tracy (Joe) Greco of Port St. Lucie, FL; Crystal Sanders (Jeremy Schneider) of Merrill, WI; Charles A Sanders of Columbus, MS; Mark (Paige) Sanders of Gleason, WI. Grandchildren: Stormi, Brandon, Justin, Andrew, William, Prestin, Elijah, Adaline and Great-grand-child Lily.
A memorial in Diane’s honor will be held Sat., May 13, 2023 from 10AM-2PM at 1-900 Bar 2501 W. Main St., Merrill. Donations can be made to Diane Sanders go fund me page via FB.
