04-10-2023
At approximately 2:04 p.m. an officer responded to the Probation and Parole Office to take a male party into custody. The male party was arrested and booked into the Lincoln County Jail on a Probation Violation.

04-11-2023
At approximately 3:51 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a welfare check at the Travelodge. An anonymous reporting party stated there was a mother waiting for his children. The mother was allegedly under the influence of methamphetamine. After further investigation, the female admitted to methamphetamine use. Lincoln County Social Services assumed custody of the children for temporary placement.

04-12-2023
At approximately 12:34 a.m. officers were dispatched to a residence for a report of domestic abuse. The victim involved had significant trauma, bruising, and/or swelling on her face. The suspect was located at the residence and was uncooperative with officers. Eventually officers were able to identify the suspect and he was arrested for domestic battery and obstructing an officer.
At approximately 8:46 p.m. an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of N. Center Ave. The vehicle did not stop for the officer and a chase ensued. The individual was driving at high rates of speed throughout town. At one point during the chase the suspect drove through the yard of a residence. The officer was able to identify the suspect, and he was arrested the next day for 2nd-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Vehicle Operator Flee/Elude officer, and other charges.

04-13-2023
At approximately 7:01 a.m. officers responded to a call in regard to property damage. When officers responded, the reporting party stated that he observed law enforcement chasing a vehicle last night (4-12-23) and he believed the truck that was being chased struck his garage. The driver of the truck later admitted to hitting the garage. The male party was then also charged with criminal damage to property.
At approximately 10:54 a.m. officers responded to Probation and Parole. Officers were advised that Probation and Parole wanted to place a hold on a male party, and the party was taken into custody without incident.

04-14-2023
At 12:40 a.m. a caller reported his girlfriend’s uncle had threatened to beat him up and was chasing his girlfriend around. It was found the uncle was intoxicated and became upset with the caller over a comment he had made earlier. The uncle reportedly threw items around the residence, pushed the caller several times throughout the night, and was yelling and being aggressive in the residence. It was found the three reside together and, as such, the uncle was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
At 10:24 a.m. a man came to the Police Department and reported he wished to turn himself in for child abuse. He reported he punished his daughter several months prior by spanking her with a belt. Since then, he said, his wife has been threatening to report him, so he decided to turn himself in rather than allow her to continue holding it over his head. The matter is being investigated.
At 4:39 p.m. a convenience store reported someone had stolen a donation container for the Lincoln County Humane Society from the store. The officer will be reviewing surveillance footage of the incident to attempt to identify the man.
At 6:21 p.m. a man was cited for remaining on premises after being ordered to leave. The man has been warned numerous times he is not allowed in a specific laundromat and continues to return.
At 8:47 p.m. a caller reported an intoxicated female was using vulgar language at a playground at an apartment complex with children present. The children confirmed this, as did a neighbor who resides a distance away and the children’s mother. The female was cited for disorderly conduct.
At 9:17 p.m. a caller reported a hit-and-run crash at a tavern parking lot. It was reported a truck backed into the vehicle in the parking lot and then left the scene after causing damage to the other vehicle. The caller was able to take a photo of the suspect vehicle as it left, and the officer will be attempting to identify the driver and/or owner of the vehicle.
At 9:42 p.m. a store reported a female had shoplifted from their store. The female was cited for retail theft.

04-15-2023
At 12:17 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle at a park in violation of park curfew. He found the vehicle to be unoccupied but observed intoxicants and THC containing vape cartridges inside in the vehicle. Four juveniles were located in the park, with one of them being the registered owner of the vehicle. One of the other juveniles present admitted to possessing the intoxicants. The vehicle was searched and an additional marijuana pipe and empty THC vape cartridges were located. The registered owner was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and juvenile curfew violation, another passenger was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and juvenile curfew violation, and the remaining two juveniles were cited for underage drinking/possession and juvenile curfew violations. All four were released to their respective parents.
At 1:11 a.m. a caller reported an unknown female had entered her apartment. The caller had been asleep and her son heard someone walk up the stairway. He observed the unknown woman standing in his mother’s bedroom doorway. He asked her what she was doing, and she stated she was in the wrong apartment and left. The woman could not be located. It is believed the woman was intoxicated and wandered into the wrong apartment.
At 10:54 a.m. a store employee reported a man inside the store was scaring and intimidating his customers by making bizarre comments, posturing and scowling at other costumers, and claiming he needed an exorcism. The man was taken to the Police Department while officers determined where the man would be taken, as he is known to be homeless. While at the Police Department, he began shouting, swearing, and demanding a federal agent respond. Based on the man’s ongoing behavior, he was arrested for disorderly conduct and bail jumping.
At 3:33 p.m. a caller requested a welfare check on his wife who was at the movie theater and sent him a text message that she was choking on popcorn. An officer checked the theater and did not locate anyone in medical need. The man responded and said he had learned his wife was fine.
At 5:27 p.m. a caller reported two juveniles smoking marijuana at a park. Contact was made with the youths, and one produced a vape device with a THC containing cartridge. The youth was cited for juvenile possession of drug paraphernalia and turned over to his adult brother at his mother’s request.
At 7:25 p.m. a store reported a man had concealed a bottle of booze in his pants and two watches in his shirt and left the store without paying for them. The man refused to stop for asset protection staff but was located across the street by an officer. The man showed the officer he had a bottle of soda and the receipt for it. Another officer checked the area the man fled and located the stolen bottle of whiskey and watches. Although the items were located, the man was captured on surveillance camera stealing the items, and he had a very unique appearance (purple dyed hair and wearing a purple shirt), he continued denying he stole the items. He was cited for retail theft.
At 8:43 p.m. a caller reported two juveniles at a park vaping. The officer located the youths, and one produced a nicotine vape device. He was cited for juvenile tobacco violation and released to his father.

04-16-2023
At 12:46 a.m. a caller reported a vehicle had struck a parked vehicle in front of his residence. The officer observed the driver displayed characteristics indicative of intoxication. The driver claimed she struck the parked vehicle as she was adjusting her radio in the car. The driver agreed to field sobriety tests, and as a result of those tests, was arrested for operating while intoxicated. She was also cited for inattentive driving. A crash report was completed.
At 3:57 a.m. a hotel employee reported an intoxicated man passed out in the lobby. The employee was unable to rouse the man. Officers were also unable to wake the man but noted him to be breathing. An ambulance was summoned to the scene due to his level of intoxication.
At 6:20 p.m. a caller reported three juveniles were knocking on people’s windows in the neighborhood and attempting to enter vehicles. It was found they had knocked so hard on one window they damaged it, although the owner did not wish to pursue enforcement action for the damaged window. The youths admitted they were knocking on doors/windows and then running away as a prank. The three were cited for disorderly conduct and turned over to their respective parents.
At 8:11 p.m. a caller reported his daughter had been away from home for two weeks. She was found to be at her boyfriend’s residence in Tomahawk. Contact was made with her, and she agreed to return home.
