Leila May Pilhofer

Leila May Pilhofer, 89 years, of Gleason passed away March 17, 2023 at Care Partners – Antigo under the care of Le Royer Hospice. Leila was born February 22, 1934.She was born at home in Langlade County, daughter of the late Gordon and Marie (Hoecherl) Marshall. On April 11, 1953, she married Walter Pilhofer at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Doering. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2015. Following marriage, Leila and her husband farmed and logged in the Township of Summit. She was devoted to working on the farm and drove log truck for the Pilhofer Logging business. Leila was a professional homemaker, seamstress, played the accordion, bowled, made many crafts, gardened and enjoyed many other activities. Leila prided herself in hard work and dedication to her family.

Survived by three daughters, Mary Ann (Ed) Standell, Deerbrook, Patty Michiel, Gleason, and Nancy (Dale) Fronek , Antigo, 7 grandchildren, Heather, Holly, Ashley, Jerrad, Marie, Matt and Mary Lynn, 10 great-grandchildren, Morgan, Taylor, Holden, Jazz, Luna Mae, Alexaiver, Huntley, James, Sawyer, Mason, brothers, Harold (Kathy) Marshall, Deebrook, James (Lorraine) Marshall, Gleason, Gordon Marshall JR, Antigo and sister, Linda (John) Ingram, Antigo. She has many neices and nephews. Leila was preceded in death by a brother, George and 3 sisters, Joanne Teal, Shirley Wild, and Arla Oelke.

In accordance with Leila’s wishes a private family service will be held. Friends may visit online at strasserrollerfuneralhome.com.
