Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Inc. was nominated as one of 28 finalists for Manufacturer of the Year by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC).
WMC is Wisconsin’s chamber of commerce and the largest business trade association in the state, representing 3,800+ employers of all sizes and in all sectors of the Wisconsin economy, since 1911.
Being nominated for the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce 34th Annual (2022) Manufacturer of the Year Award recognizes businesses for their “commitment to excellence, employees, and the state of Wisconsin.”
“It is an honor to be nominated for this prestigious award”, said Weinbrenner President Jeff Burns. “Weinbrenner is one of the few companies still making footwear in the United States, and we’re very proud to say we have been making them right here in Wisconsin for over 130 years.”
A ceremony was held on Jan. 27 at Weinbrenner’s newest Genesee Street location where WMC representatives presented Burns with a nomination plaque.
Of the 28 finalists announced, four will be selected to receive the Grand Award, with one winner selected in each of four categories: small, medium, large, and mega-sized business.
The winners will be announced and honored this week on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023, at the Manufacturer of the Year Award Ceremony at The Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee.
