Forecast Coldest Wind Chills: 3 PM Thursday – 3 PM Friday

Forecast Coldest Wind Chills: 3:00 p.m. Thursday – 3:00 p.m. Friday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for central and north-central Wisconsin, including Lincoln and Marathon Counties, from 6:00 p.m. this evening, Feb. 2, 2023, through 12:00 noon on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023.

A Wind Chill Advisory for east-central and far northeast Wisconsin has also been issued for this evening from 11:00 p.m. until tomorrow at noon.

A surge of arctic air will bring bitterly cold temperatures to the region this evening through Friday night. The combination of cold temperatures and northwest winds will create dangerously cold wind chills this evening through Friday morning, and possibly Friday night through Saturday morning.

Dangerously cold wind chills of -20 to -35 are expected across the entire area from this evening through Friday morning. Wind chills around -20 below are possible at some locations in north-central Wisconsin Friday night through Saturday morning.

Forecast Coldest Wind Chills: 6 PM Friday – 9 AM Saturday

Forecast Coldest Wind Chills: 6:00 p.m. Friday – 9:00 a.m. Saturday

Long exposure to the cold can become dangerous, and wind chills this cold can produce frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 20 to 30 minutes.
