01/23/2023
At 10:45 p.m. officers were dispatched to River St. for a report of a suspicious party in the back yard of a residence. Officers responded and located a male subject attempting to huff gasoline from a riding lawn mower that was in the yard. The individual tried to flee from officers and resisted their efforts to take him into custody. The male subject was arrested and transported to the jail on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

01/24/2023
At 1:53 p.m. officers were dispatched to the Lincoln County Jail in reference to an individual with warrants for his arrest. The individual, who had turned himself in, was arrested moments later by officers.
On this date, officers responded to two different complaints of gas skips. Neither individual involved in each case has yet to return and pay for their gas. Investigation into the matter is still ongoing.

01-25-2023
At 7:28 a.m. an officer investigated a crash on E. First St. near the roundabout. A vehicle had been stopped in traffic, waiting to enter the roundabout, and was struck by the vehicle behind her. The at-fault driver was cited for inattentive driving and no insurance. A crash report was completed.
At 12:03 p.m. a citizen turned in a cell phone, found near a business. The officer was able to determine the owner, and it was later returned to its owner.

01-26-2023
At 1:23 p.m. officers responded to an altercation between two females occurring at a residence. Neither party was at the residence when officers arrived. One party was later located and interviewed about the incident. The other party was not located.
At 6:00 p.m. a vehicle was stopped and issued a citation for speed. The driver was also warned for not dimming headlamps.

01-27-2023
At 12:03 a.m. officers were dispatched to a residence for what initially was a 911 nuisance call. Officers responded and found a male and female party at the residence. The male subject was found to have a warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody for the warrant and charges of bail jumping, as he had been consuming intoxicants, in violation of an open bond. Through the course of the investigation, officers found that the female had left a young child alone at a different residence and also had been drinking, in violation of an open bond. The female subject was ultimately arrested for child neglect, obstructing, and bail jumping.
At 6:20 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a business in regards to a retail theft complaint. Loss prevention staff had stopped the subject as they were leaving the store. The investigation is ongoing.

01/29/2023
At 6:03 p.m. officers were dispatch to a report of a male subject trying to get into a vehicle, without the owner’s permission, at a business lot. The male subject was located and arrested for charges of disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, and a probation violation.
