According to the National Weather Service (NWS), our area, including Lincoln and Marathon Counties, will be under a Wind Chill Advisory from 2:00 a.m. until noon tomorrow.
A Wind Chill Advisory has been posted for northern and central Wisconsin from 2:00 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023.
An arctic air mass will bring bitter cold temperatures to the region tonight through Tuesday morning. The combination of these cold temperatures and steady winds will create dangerously cold wind chills of -20 to -30 in northern and central Wisconsin; wind chills of -10 to -15 in east-central and far northeast Wisconsin.
When: Late tonight through tomorrow (Tuesday) morning
Impacts: Long exposure to the cold can become dangerous, as frostbite can occur in as little as 30 minutes.
