Dwayne Boyle, age 84, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, in Mesquite. He was born on September 20, 1938, to the late Harold and Pearl (Jensen)Boyle at Holy Cross Hospital in Merrill, Wisconsin. Dwayne grew up in Deerbrook but spent the majority of his time in Gleason at his Grandma and Grandpa Jensen’s farm. He graduated from Antigo High School. Dwayne continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was a proud Badger, often reminiscing about his time at the school. Dwayne was a kind soul, with a huge smile, robust laugh and tender heart. He loved people and they loved him in return. Though he moved to Texas, Dwayne loved cheering for the Packers and making trips back to Wisconsin to visit family and friends. He had many careers throughout his life and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Dwayne enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, gardening, camping, swimming, woodworkingand reading. Dwayne delighted in the memories he had of raising his daughter and then four step sons along with their mother, Dorothy.
Dwayne is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Duane) Yorde, stepsons: Jeff (Leigh), Jon (Heather), Jay (Janet), and Joel (Christy) Scherer, sister, Kelley (Tim) Heidemann, sister-in-law Luanne Boyle, aunt Barbara (Francis) Montabon, granddaughters: Kailey Bender (Alex Mueske) and Alyssa (Lane) Lines, great-grandsons: Wes and Brooks Mueske and Carson and Connor Cruise, and nephews, nieces, and many cousins. Dwayne is additionally survived by his wife, Le Boyle. Dwayne was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Boyle, sister, Kathleen Watson, brother in law Richard Watson, nephew Justin Ames, beloved uncles and aunts, his parents, and his grandparents, Alfred and Rose (Novak) Boyle, and Alex and Bertha (Strobel) Jensen.
A Wisconsin memorial service will take place in summer 2023. The date and place will be announced at a later time and all are welcome to visit, share memories, and support the family.
