The Critic’s Choice Movie event at the T. B. Scott Free Library kicks off the new year on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with a great film based off the very popular book by Delia Owens. Set in the marshes of North Carolina beginning in 1952, this murder mystery is sure to keep you guessing. Kya has grown up isolated in the marshes. In the nearby town of Barkley Cove, she is known simply as “The Marsh Girl.”
When she ventures into town, she catches the eye of the star quarterback and they start dating. When he is found dead, she becomes the prime suspect. But did she do it?
