MERRILL POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS

12-26-2022
At 12:53 p.m. officers responded to a residence after drug paraphernalia was located inside. A glass pipe was located and collected as evidence.

12-27-2022
At 7:20 p.m. multiple vehicles were observed doing burnouts and driving recklessly in a snow covered parking lot. One of the drivers was stopped and issued a citation for the observed behavior.

12-28-2022
At 12:45 p.m. a convenience store reported someone had dumped their garbage on their property. Investigation is ongoing.
At 4:25 p.m. a caller reported a male used vulgar language toward her after she confronted him on parking in a no-parking zone at a business. Contact was made with the male who reported being harassed by the female as she has contacted him twice in the recent past about driving issues. The man was warned for his conduct and the parties were told to leave one another alone.

12-29-2022
At 7:24 a.m. a caller reported hearing a gun shot. It was found an electrical fuse had blown nearby.
At 9:24 a.m. a business reported finding a syringe in their facility and were concerned it was used for drugs. The syringe was disposed of properly.
At 1:50 a.m. a caller reported his juvenile step-daughter had struck him. She had left the scene with friends prior to officers’ arrival. She will be referred to Social Services for battery.

12-30-2022
At 3:55 a.m. officers responded to a residence after a male was reported to be there, that the homeowner did not want around. The male left without issue when requested by officers.

12-31-2022
At 7:47 a.m. a vehicle was stopped for speed and was subsequently searched after the officer observed drug paraphernalia inside. Marijuana and other drug paraphernalia were located, and the driver was issued citations for the violations.

1-1-2023
At 3:38 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance of a female yelling inside an apartment complex. After speaking with the female, she was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.
At 3:53 p.m. a vehicle was stopped for speeding. The driver was found to be under the influence of intoxicants and placed through the roadside sobriety tests. The driver was taken into custody for operating under the influence as a result.
At 9:26 p.m. an altercation was reported between a male and a female at a residence. The male was reported to have left before officers arrived but was located soon after. Based on the statements provided by both parties, the male was taken into custody for domestic disorderly conduct.
