On Nov. 16, 2022, Merrill High School (MHS) Senior Brian Ball signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at the collegiate level and committed to playing football for UW-River Falls next fall. A signing ceremony was held at MHS and attended by teammates, coaches, family, and friends. Brian plans to attend UW-River Falls, major in Business, and play football. His dream is to continue his football career at the professional level one day. During the ceremony, Brian thanked those in attendance for supporting him throughout his career. He also thanked the Merrill community for their support of Merrill Athletics, especially the Merrill Football Booster Club and the Silver M Club for their support of Merrill Football.
