11-07-22
At 1:07 p.m. a caller reported a domestic disturbance between her, her boyfriend, and her cousin. The boyfriend and girlfriend got into a disagreement concerning ownership of their dog, which escalated to the boyfriend making threats to harm the girlfriend and her cousin. The male was arrested for disorderly conduct.
At 1:23 p.m. a male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
At 3:55 p.m. a marijuana pipe was located at the library. Investigation is ongoing.
At 6:21 p.m. a caller reported she received videos from a family member showing acts of domestic violence. Contact was made with the victim who confirmed she had video evidence showing historical acts of domestic violence. Officers learned that an act of domestic violence had happened on 11-07-22. As a result of the investigation, the male was arrested for domestic battery, two counts of disorderly conduct, strangulation/suffocation, and criminal damage to property. After being arrested, he was found to be in possession of a vape containing THC and, as such, was additionally charged for possession of marijuana.
At 9:20 p.m. a caller reported her daughter discovered someone had struck her vehicle while at the high school parking lot and left without reporting the incident. Investigation is ongoing.

11-08-22
At 10:20 a.m. a caller reported two males fighting, with one armed with a baseball bat. Contact was made with one of the involved parties. The other male involved in the fight had fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. In the course of the investigation, a female involved in the incident was found to be in possession of a vape containing marijuana and was issued a citation. The investigation into the fight is ongoing.
At 11:06 a.m. a caller reported someone had entered his unlocked vehicle sometime within the last two days and stolen property and cash.
At 11:51 a.m. a convenience store reported a female had stolen some food while in the store. The officer will be attempting to identify the female from the surveillance video.
At 12:29 p.m. a caller reported a domestic disturbance at a neighboring apartment, which sounded physical in nature. Upon arrival, nobody would answer the door. A male leaped from the second story apartment and was apprehended nearby. He was found to have warrants for his arrest. Another male, who finally came to the door, stated nobody else was inside the apartment. He was found to have three warrants for his arrest. A female was found hiding in the shower and was found to have a warrant for her arrest. It was determined that the male who leaped out of the window and the female found hiding had caused the disturbance, which was reported. Both were charged with disorderly conduct and multiple counts of bail jumping. The male who answered the door was charged with obstructing an officer and multiple counts of bail jumping.
At 12:51 p.m. a caller reported he received collections notification on a loan made by someone else using his information. Investigation is ongoing.
At 2:11 p.m. a caller reported someone put what appeared to be superglue in the ignition of her vehicle. She suspected an ex-boyfriend. Investigation is ongoing.

11-09-2022
At 7:08 a.m. officers and the Merrill Fire Department responded to a residence after multiple reports had been made of smoke coming from the garage. A fire was located in the garage and extinguished by the fire department.
At 11:03 a.m. an individual reported front end damage to her vehicle. It was unknown what exact day or where the damage would have occurred.

11-10-2022
At 7:20 p.m. a female was taken into custody after an officer observed her walking and knew that she had an active warrant. The female was then found to have methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on her when she was searched after the arrest. Charges were filed on the drug offenses.
At 1:40 p.m. officers responded to a business, when it was reported that a male was refusing to leave after being asked multiple times. Upon officer’s arrival, the male left without issue.
At 6:34 p.m. officers responded to a report of a male walking in and out of traffic on a road and yelling at cars. A description was provided of the male, but officers were unable to locate him after searching the area.

11-11-22
At 5:52 a.m. a caller reported a male attempted to gain entry to her residence earlier in the morning. The suspect was captured on surveillance video and identified. He was arrested for attempted burglary and possession of an electronic weapon after a search of him revealed the electronic weapon concealed in his pocket.
At 10:51 a.m. a caller requested a welfare check on a male, after the male communicated a threat to kill a specific individual. This individual was a previous crime victim of the male and had a Protective Order in place. Contact was established with the man; however, he refused to exit the residence. A search warrant was obtained, and officers arrested the man for disorderly conduct and bail jumping.
At 5:49 p.m. a caller reported someone stole a package that was delivered to his residence. Investigation is ongoing.

11-12-22
At 9:47 a.m. an officer investigated a crash on Mill St. at E 3rd St. It was found a driver had failed to stop at the stop sign on Mill St. and crashed into a vehicle on E 3rd St. The offending driver was cited for failure to stop at stop sign, and a crash report was completed.

11-13-22
At 4:38 p.m. a crash was reported on St Paul St. at Monroe St. The driver admitted to attempting to “drift” his vehicle around a corner by rapidly accelerating, which caused him to lose control of the vehicle and strike a tree, causing minor injury to a juvenile passenger. The man was also found to be intoxicated. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated causing injury with a passenger under age 16 and reckless driving causing injury. A crash report was completed.
At 5:45 p.m. a caller reported hearing a female screaming inside a residence. It was found a male and female were involved in a domestic disturbance with both becoming physical with each other. Both were arrested for domestic disorderly conduct. While inside the residence during the investigation, marijuana and paraphernalia were observed. A second male in the residence was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
