The 2022 J.O.H. Raffle, in memory of Johanna Osness Hoerstmann, was recently held at Caylor’s Trophy Bar. Organized by Debbie Alvin and Marlene Graap, the raffle raised funds for the Lincoln County Humane Society where Johanna had been a very active volunteer who worked tirelessly to help homeless animals. Thank you to the area businesses and individuals who donated raffle prizes or refreshments, to Andrew Caylor for donating DJ services, and especially to those who sold/purchased tickets. These combined efforts resulted in another successful event which raised $5,238 for the animals at the shelter! The photo was taken at the Lincoln County Humane Society in the paw-shaped garden designed by Eagle Scout Nathan Brzoznowski, also in memory of Johanna. The memorial plaque reads “Because of her dream and dedication, this animal shelter was made possible.” Pictured L to R: Debbie Alvin with Alvin, Johanna’s sister Julie Osness Thorson with Ollie, and Marlene Graap with Brewer.
