“Wausau East and Merrill joined forces to support those impacted by childhood cancer at their recent dual meet,” said Kristie Winter, Head Coach for the Merrill Girls Varsity Swim Team. “All swimmers wore a gold ribbon tattoo to show their support.”
“The swim meet was very exciting from start to finish,” she said. “The score bounced back and forth throughout the meet coming down to the final relay where East just outswam us.”
The Lady Jays traveled to Wausau East High School for a dual meet against the Lady Lumberjacks on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022.
While Wausau East took home the win, it wasn’t by much. Just two points decided the meet.
