Jeannette “Jean” Gennrich
Jeannette “Jean” Gennrich, age 101, of Markesan, formerly of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at the Markesan Resident Home in Markesan. She was born on December 20, 1920, in Goodland, Indiana, a daughter of Lewis and Idona (Cordill) Romine. On March 29, 1942, Jeannette married Robert Gennrich, who was from Gleason, WI, at the Church of God in Oregon, IL. After graduating from high school, Jeannette became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Throughout her working years she cared for many patients at the Berlin Hospital, Sunnyview Nursing Home in Princeton and at the Wautoma Hospital. Jeannette was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church of Princeton. She loved gardening, knitting, sewing, playing cards, especially bridge and was an avid reader.
Those Jeannette leaves behind to cherish her memory include her 2 daughters, Mary Jo Markham of Salem, VA, Carol Gennrich of Princeton, WI; her son, R. Paul (Barbara) Gennrich II of Beaverton, OR; 3 grandchildren, Robert Paul Gennrich III of Beaverton, OR, Dr. Suzanne (Chip) Turner of Atlanta, GA, Chris (Dana) Ferree of Salem, VA; stepdaughter, Amy (Travis) Markham of TN; step-grandchildren, Oliver and Henry Markham; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Idona Romine; husband, Robert Gennrich; 2 brothers, Dan Romine and Otis Romine; 2 sisters, June Hickox and Joanne Davis.
A memorial service for Jeannette Gennrich will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Calvary Lutheran Church, 202 S.
