Nathan Brzoznowski, a Senior at Merrill High School (MHS), has been named Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 1, 2022. Nathan is a member of the Merrill Bluejays Varsity Football Team. “I kicked a few times my Sophomore year on Varsity,” Nathan said. “My Junior year I started as the kicker, inside linebacker, and running back. Then my Senior year I switched to just kicking and running back.”
Nathan also plays Varsity Baseball for the Merrill Bluejays. “I came up before playoffs and played during playoffs my Sophomore year on Varsity as a designated hitter,” he said. “Then started my Junior year as left fielder.
At school, Nathan belongs to the Raise Your Voice Club and is a Big Brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters. He is also in Boy Scouts at the rank of Eagle Scout.
Nathan works at Goetsch’s Welding and Machine as a machinist. In his spare time, he enjoys watching races and snowmobiling in the winter. He likes to hang out with friends, tossing a football around and driving around, swimming, and going to the fairs.
The son of Tonya Brzoznowski, Nathan and his brother Jordan all live in Merrill. He plans to attend college but is undecided on his major and where he will go as of right now.
