NVP/Pub 1638 unveils Never Forgotten Honor Flight display
On Saturday, August 14, 2022, the Northwoods Veterans Post (NVP)/Pub 1638 held a ribbon cutting to unveil their permanent display showcasing photographs of the Merrill area veterans who have gone on the Never Forgotten Honor Flight, commemorating their experiences on their trip to Washington D.C. erected in their honor and their return to central Wisconsin. Photos from future trips and Never Forgotten Honor Flight memorabilia will continue to be added to the display. “We wish to acknowledge the generosity of the Town of Maine Lions Club, James Campbell of Honor Flight, and the Lincoln County AMVETS for making this accolade to our local heroes possible,” a representative from the NVP/Pub 1638 said.
