Edith A. “Ede” Borelli

Edith A. “Ede” Borelli, 85, of Merrill, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, at Bell Tower Residence under the care of Aspirus Hospice. Ede was born in Merrillon October 5, 1936, to Ralph and Irene (Olson) Litke. She graduated from Merrill High School in 1954 and married Leo Borelli on April 27, 1957. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2017. Ede started her career as a secretary at Ward Paper Company and then worked for over 30 years at the Lincoln County Forestry Department. After retiring in 2000, Leo and her enjoyed traveling, including special trips to Alaska and Italy. She enjoyed gardening and collecting almost anything, including salt and pepper shakers, stamps, coins, and beanie babies. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ede is survived by her two sons, Joe (Dawn) and Bruce (Patti), both of Verona, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Eric (Danielle), Nick, Megan, Matt (Andrea), Steph (Brad) and Zach (Jannon); and eight great-grandchildren, Madison, Lila, Halle, Blake, Leo, Harper, Maci and Tucker. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo; parents, Ralph and Irene; and numerous aunts, uncles and in-laws.

The funeral service for Ede will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Merrill. Pastor Tryphine Schruba will officiate. Burial will take place in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at the Taylor Stine Funeral Home, Merrill and from 10:00am until the time of the service on Friday at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made at www.taylorstinefuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church or Aspirus Hospice.
