Harriet Mae Henrich, age 96, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022. She was born May of 1926 in Merrill and married Gerald Henrich on January 1, 1945. Together, they raised three children: Jerry (Andrea), Lynn (Carol) and Holly, who all survive. She is further survived by her beloved 5 grandsons: Chris, Jeremy, Tom, Ben, and Jason, her 8 great-grandchildren, whom she adored, siblings: Harry, Carol and Marlene (William), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Esther, husband: Gerald and siblings: Leroy, Annette, and David.
Harriet spent most of her life as a talented, enthusiastic, and loving homemaker, as well as a dedicated wife and mother. She worked as a bridal consultant once her children were grown. Besides her family, her joys included gardening, playing bridge, and closely following the Wisconsin sports teams. Harriet was an active volunteer in her community and church.
A memorial service for Harriet will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 10:30am at St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ. Pastor Mike Southcombe will officiate. A public visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 9:00am until the time of the service, also at the church. A private family viewing will be held at Waid Funeral Home prior to the service date. Memorials may be sent in Harriet’s name to St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ, Merrill Area Concert Association or The Hanging Flower Basket Project c/o the Merrill Chamber Foundation, 705 N.
