The Merrill 12U Allstars have been battling it out playing ball this summer. Merrill won their first game against Antigo 6-4 on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. “Bats were hot and defense was good, along with good pitching,” said Coach Andrew Simon.
On Wednesday, July 6, Merrill lost 5-15 to Wausau. “They had bases loaded four times, but the bats couldn’t get going with boys in scoring position,” he said.”
“Thursday’s game was a hot one against Rhinelander,” Simon said, “but the Merrill boys’ bats were cold, leaving them with a loss of 0-7.”
