A Tomahawk man is facing charges related to thefts, burglaries and drug activity.

According to a release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Zachary Huston, 38, was arrested on Thursday, June 16 following the execution of a search warrant by the Sheriff’s Office, the Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force, the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office and the Tomahawk Police Department in the Town of Bradley.

The Sheriff’s Office said the search warrant was executed “as a result of extensive investigations involving drug activity, thefts, burglaries and other significant criminal acts,” adding that additional charges were requested for other involved persons through the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office.

“These individuals are linked to numerous storage unit break-ins, as well as other thefts and burglaries in Lincoln, Price, Oneida, Marathon and Taylor Counties,” the Sheriff’s Office stated. “Numerous stolen items were recovered during the search warrant and were connected to cases spanning multiple jurisdictions.”

Charges sought in connection to the investigations include burglary, theft, maintaining a drug trafficking dwelling, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC, bail jumping, removing major vehicle components and operating motor vehicle without owner’s consent, according to the release.

The Sheriff’s Office said Tomahawk residents Taylor Blanchard and Matthew Dittmer were arrested on scene for unrelated arrest warrants.

“Although the search warrant has been completed, this is an ongoing investigation, and no further information can be released at this time,” the Sheriff’s Office stated.
