Arlene Muriel Bagley, age 81 of Merrill, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. She was born on April 18, 1941, to the late Clifford and Mildred (Munroe) Hoffman in Irma, Wisconsin. Arlene was a gracious volunteer for the Merrill Relay for Life, Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, and the Merrill Area Community Enrichment Center. She also enjoyed quilting, coaching baseball, sewing, baking specialty Christmas cookies, gardening, especially her flowers, and helping her children in any way she could.
She is survived by her son: Randy Hoffman of Merrill, WI, daughter: Shelly (Rick) Storm of Merrill, WI, grandchildren: Jason, Ethan, and Nathanial, step grandchildren: Alexandra and Jason, step great grandchildren: Lilian, Brayden, Bentley, and Emeric, fur grandchildren: Charger, Scooby Doo, Thor, and Bentley, siblings: Alice Braithwaite of Poynette, WI, Arleigh Linder (twin sister) of Merrill, WI, Roy Hoffman of Merrill, WI, Jean Ellen (Roger) Alms of Redwing, MN, and Harriet Rehwinkle of Merrill, WI, sister-in-law: Janet Hoffman, special friend: Judy Woller, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Harry (Sally) Hoffman, Harold Hoffman, Phyllis (Leroy) Rice, and Donald Hoffman, and sister-in-law Sandy Hoffman.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Waid Funeral Home. Pastor Pat Schutz will officiate. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 9:00 am until the time of service also at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Town of Rock Falls.
