Three area students receive scholarships for Northwood Technical College

Northwood Technical College Foundation awarded a total of $166,000 in scholarships to students for the upcoming fall 2022 semester.

Locally, three area students were recipients of one of those scholarships:
• RaeJean Stowe of Athens, Veterinary Technician, Robert Knowles Scholarship
• Tavius Morris of Merrill, Construction and Cabinetmaking, Brendan Shipley Memorial Scholarship
• Kyle Semling of Merrill, Construction and Cabinetmaking, Rice Lake Construction and Cabinetmaking Scholarship

Scholarships assist students with education-related costs such as tuition, fees, books, classroom supplies and more. For Northwood Tech students, these scholarships and other forms of aid provide support while they achieve their goal and begin their career path with little to no student debt. Some of these students are fresh out of high school, while others are returning to school for a variety of reasons including years of working in a different career field or being a stay-at-home parent. No matter what level or age these individuals are enrolling at Northwood Tech, any assistance they receive makes the journey to achieving their degree less difficult and allows them to focus on Northwood Tech’s overall objective of Learning First.

A press release from Northwood Technical College expressed gratitude for all its community partnerships and community support of the Northwood Technical College Foundation which helps give students the financial support and tools needed to succeed.
