05-23-2022
At 12:33 a.m. an officer discovered damage to grass at a park from a vehicle driving on it as well as trash in the lot.
At 9:51 a.m. a male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
At 11:54 a.m. a business reported finding property left behind inside a portion of the building. It is believed two homeless people had stayed there at least one night. They left behind some documents identifying themselves, and the officer will be attempting to locate them to address the trespassing issue.
At 3:58 p.m. a caller reported damage to her siding consistent with someone shooting it with a BB or pellet gun. Investigation continues.

At 11:30 a.m. a school reported finding damage to a window consistent with someone shooting it with a BB or pellet gun. Investigation continues.
At 1:21 p.m. a store reported a shoplifting incident that occurred earlier in the month. The suspect is known and investigation continues.
At 1:44 p.m. a caller reported someone damaged the tail light on his vehicle.
At 2:37 p.m. a caller reported someone painted vulgarities on her vehicle while it was parked in a school parking lot. This is under investigation.
At 2:59 p.m. a caller reported a fire off E. 10th St., east of Sales St. in a wooded area commonly referred to as Jack Pines. It was found a bonfire had been lit, which caused pine needles and leaves to start on fire. A witness reported youths in the wooded area approximately a half hour prior to the call. Investigation will continue.
At 5:27 p.m. a caller reported someone stole their lawnmower. Investigation continues.
At 10:12 p.m. a caller reported a female driving her vehicle into a park volleyball court. An officer located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was cited for violation of Park & Rec ordinance violation for operating in undesignated area of the park.

05-25-2022
At 8:50 p.m. officers responded to a local bar after a female would not leave after being asked to do so by the bartender. The female still refused to leave for officers and became resistive when officers attempted to remove her. The female was taken into custody for the incident.

05-26-2022
At 2:00 a.m. officers responded to a local bar for a fight between two males. One of the males had fled on foot before officers arrival but was later located. The male was resistive while being taken into custody and while at the jail. The male was taken into custody for the fight.
At 8:44 p.m. a reporting party stated that a female had gotten into her car after she parked by the curb and was now refusing to get out. The female voluntarily got out of the car but refused to remain by officers as they continued the investigation. As officers attempted to make the female stay, she became resistive and was taken into custody for the incident.

05-27-2022
At 8:17 a.m. a male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
At 11:21 a.m. an elderly male walked to the police department to report he had given his granddaughter the keys to his vehicle and debit card with instructions to drive to the bank and withdraw $60 and return them to him. The granddaughter did not return. Contact was made several times with the granddaughter and she claimed she would return the vehicle at certain times and she never did. He also found she had withdrawn $240 from his account. As the granddaughter refused to return the vehicle and/or money, a warrant for her arrest will be sought for charges of theft and operate motor vehicle without owner’s consent. The vehicle was located two days later in rural Lincoln County, on its roof with various parts removed from it. The granddaughter and her known accomplice are now facing a plethora of additional charges.
At 12:47 p.m. a caller reported a neighbor was yelling and swearing. The caller also had recordings of past similar such incidents of this neighbor. The neighbor was cited for disorderly conduct.
At 3:27 p.m. a store reported a female had stolen items from the store on 05-25-2022. The female’s identity is known, and follow-up investigation will be completed.
At 6:26 p.m. a caller reported a scam attempt. She reported she was selling a stove online and received notice from someone purporting to be from California that they wished to purchase it. This person mailed a check for several times the amount she was asking for the stove. At this point she recognized it was a scam and did not try to cash the check which was no doubt fake.

05-28-2022
At 12:45 a.m. an officer found someone had caused damage to a window at a building at a park.
At 10:48am a caller reported she and her boyfriend were attempting to move out of their residence and were being harassed by a former roommate and her boyfriend. Upon arrival, an officer located a male walking with a large piece of wood threatening to “take care of things himself.” The man refused to drop his weapon and approached a vehicle occupied by the former tenant. The man was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed.
At 12:19 p.m. a caller reported an injured deer. The deer was found to have a fawn nearby as well. The deer had to be euthanized due to the extent of its injuries. Officers were able to catch the fawn and arrangements were made for it to be transported to Wild Instincts Wildlife Rehabilitation center in Rhinelander.
At 1:55 p.m. a caller reported someone stole a package from her porch. The male suspect was captured on her surveillance camera, and officers are attempting to identify him.
At 2:18 p.m. a female approached an officer to report her brother had smashed the windshield of her vehicle the previous night. The investigation will be proceeding.
At 6:58 p.m. a restaurant reported a male had attempted to make a purchase with a counterfeit $100 bill. An officer is attempting to identify the man.
At 7:34 p.m. a caller reported someone entered his garage a couple days prior and stole some tools. Investigation is ongoing.
At 9:06 p.m. a caller reported a vehicle driving through the grass and spinning “donuts” at a park. An officer found damage to the turf at the park.
At 11:51 p.m. an officer located damage caused to a bathroom at a park.

05-29-2022
At 7:24 a.m. the Wisconsin Department of Corrections requested officers take a female into custody for a probation violation. Officers located woman and arrested her for the warrant they had issued.
At 5:34 p.m. a caller reported being trapped inside an automatic carwash. Officers assisted caller.
