The Merrill Varsity Boys Baseball Team played three games last week, taking home one win out of the three.
“It was a tough week,” said Shawn Schultz, Head Coach for the Merrill Varsity Boys Baseball Team. “We started off the week with a home win vs. Pines, but then lost two on the road to Everest and Medford.”
“We pitched ok but were hurt by our defense on Tuesday,” he said. “On Friday we just couldn’t get anything going offensively.”
“We finish up the regular season on Monday (May 23) and then begin the playoffs with a home game vs. Rhinelander by virtue of the 4 seed,” Schultz said. If the team wins the regional game on Thursday, May 26, they will advance to play at Mosinee next Tuesday, May 31.
