05-09-22

At 6:43 p.m. a store reported a theft that occurred on 05-07-22. Two possible suspects were identified and follow-up is ongoing.

At 10:11 p.m. a caller reported her husband had pushed her several times and kicked a hole in a door. The husband was located walking in the area and reported nothing had occurred beyond a verbal argument. A statement was taken from the wife and another witness. The officer also observed the door which had a large hole that went through the entire door. The husband was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

At 12:20 p.m. a caller reported a male inside a vehicle that “did not look well” and requested a welfare check. The officers found the man very intoxicated. He was found to have two open bonds which prohibit him from consuming intoxicants. The man will be summonsed for bail jumping.

At 3:23 p.m. a male was arrested for a warrant through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

At 1:50 p.m. a female was observed concealing multiple items while walking around in a store. She was also observed not scanning all items that she was purchasing when checking out. The female was stopped by store employees until officers arrived. The female was taken into custody for the theft.

At 7:15 p.m. a bike was reported stolen after the owner left it leaning up against a bench along the River Bend Trail. At this time the bike has not been located and the investigation is ongoing.

At 1:44 a.m. officers responded to a residence after it was reported that a son had hit his mother’s boyfriend. After speaking with all parties involved, it was found the son had struck the boyfriend multiple times causing injury. The son was taken into custody for the incident.

At 12:08 p.m. a business reported that merchandise had been stolen from their store the night before. Investigation is ongoing at this time.

5-13-2022

At 6:29 p.m. dispatch advised of a shoplifting complaint at a local department storel. The female suspect was cited for retail theft.

5-14-2022

At approximately 5:42 a.m. an officer was dispatched outside of the jail lobby for an elderly male subject making verbal threats toward females. The officer spoke with the male and the male attempted to punch the officer. The male was taken into custody and transported to the Aspirus Merrill Hospital. A mental health evaluation was conducted and the suspect was transported to North Central Health Care Center in Wausau. The suspect also will face criminal charges including battery or threat to law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct.

At approximately 9:39 a.m. an officer was dispatched to an area on S. Park Street for someone camping in their vehicle. Contact was made with both occupants. Both occupants had a court order prohibiting them from having contact with each other. Both parties were arrested on scene.

At approximately 10:34 a.m. an officer was dispatched to a residence on E. Main Street for a subject in crisis. There was a party who was yelling and punching the walls. There was information that they attempted suicide three weeks prior. The male was evaluated on scene and placed in protective custody. He was later transported to North Central Healthcare Center in Wausau.

5-15-2022

At approximately 6:32 p.m. officers were dispatched to an establishment on W. Main Street for a report of a male trying to sell customers “eatables.” The male was refusing to leave and was agitated. When officers arrived, the suspect was no longer there and was reported to have left in a Black SUV with another male. The description of the suspect was provided and officers attempted to locate the suspect. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
