Brieanna Marie “Breezy” Shaffer

Brieanna Marie “Breezy” Shaffer age 29, of Evansville, Wis., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison following health complications.  She was born on Jan. 26, 1993, in Wausau, the daughter of Walter and Barbara (Meier) Igl. Brieanna graduated from Merrill High School in 2011 and UW-Milwaukee in 2015.  She married Taylor Shaffer on Dec.7, 2019.  Brieanna was formerly employed with Gorman & Company, LLC and currently worked for UW Health as a finance business partner. Brieanna lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed cooking, playing games, spending time outdoors with her dog, hiking and cheering on the hockey team her husband coached. In addition, she was passionate about helping others and showcased this throughout her life by donating blood. Then even in death, Brieanna continued her generosity and loving nature through organ and tissue donation.

Brieanna is survived by husband Taylor; parents, Walter and Barbara Igl; parents-in-law, Jack and Pam Shaffer; brother-in-law, Justin “Bubba” (Carissa Walek) Shaffer; aunts, uncles, cousins, and loyal canine companion, Bauer. She was preceded in death bypaternal grandparents, Francis and Lenore Igl; and maternal grandparents, Werner and Josefa Meier.

A funeral service will be held at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 700 County Highway B, Stoughton, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022. A visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
