Merrill High School is a host site for the “Kwik Trip” Statewide Basketball Shooting Contest.  Can you shoot hoops and sink the baskets? If so, consider competing.

The contest will be held at Merrill High School on May 22, 2022, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., and the contest is open to everyone and all ages, including adults. The cost is $20. To register, go to:  www.2sfrees3s.com by May 18, 2022 (registration deadline).

“I think it is a pretty cool idea to find the best shooters in the state, and it’s awesome it’s open to all ages,”  said Troy Pieper, Head Merrill Varsity Boys Basketball Coach.

“I would compare it sort of to Punt, Pass, and Kick for football; however, it’s only shooting, and it’s open to everyone, even adults,” he said.

“I’m glad Merrill is able to be a host site for the regional part of the shooting contest,” Pieper added. “The top shooters will advance to the sectional round in the summer, and in August the Championship part of the contest will take place, and we’ll see if we have the best shooter in the state in our area!”
