04-25-2022
At 11:47 a.m. a store reported a shoplifting that occurred on 04-20-2022. The employee believed she knew the suspect’s name. The officer will be reviewing surveillance video and attempting to confirm the suspect’s identity.
At 2:44 p.m. a caller reported someone stole a moped from his garage sometime since the morning hours. Investigation is ongoing.
At 4:17 p.m. a caller reported he had been attacked by his daughter’s boyfriend. It was found an argument took place over the location of a cell phone charger, which led to a physical altercation between the caller and his daughter’s boyfriend. The boyfriend was arrested.
At 6:15 p.m. a store reported a shoplifting incident that had occurred earlier. The employee recognized the suspect and was able to provide his name. The officer will be awaiting surveillance video of the incident before proceeding.
At 9:16 p.m. a caller reported finding drug paraphernalia after a relative moved out of the property. Several items of paraphernalia were turned over, as well as candy and vape cartridges containing THC. The officer will attempt contact with the family member.

04-26-2022
At 9:10 a.m. a caller reported sometime in the early morning hours someone had damaged his vehicle parked roadside in front of his residence. Investigation is ongoing.
At 2:39 p.m. a business reported an internal theft by a former employee. Investigation is ongoing.
At 3:15 p.m. a crash was reported on E. Main St. at Pine Ridge Ave. causing one vehicle to overturn. It was clear one of the drivers had driven through a red light; however both claimed they had a green light. A crash report will be completed.
At 4:55 p.m. a caller reported his son received a phone call from someone claiming to be with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and that his van was involved in some type of incident at a park. His van, however, was parked outside of his residence. The caller provided a name that is not associated with the Sheriff’s Office. The officer attempted to call the son to find out exactly what had occurred but he did not answer. The caller’s name and number are known and follow-up will continue once the son calls the officer back.

04-27-2022
At 6:59 a.m. officers were dispatched to a local business after a male reported being struck by a co-worker. The male had visible injuries and was treated at the hospital for such. Investigation is ongoing.
At 10:32 p.m. officers responded to a residence after an ambulance was requested there for a female. The female was transported to the hospital where she became violent and began yelling at officers and the nursing staff. As the female was going to leave, she kicked the hospital wall, causing damage. The female was then taken into custody for criminal damage to property.

04-28-2022
At 1:04 p.m. a female was observed shoplifting at a local business. The female was cited and released at scene.
At 2:23 p.m. an individual came to the police department to report a check that he received that was believed to be a scam. The check was never cashed and so no money or information was lost.

04-29-2022
At 5:56 a.m. officers responded to a residence in reference to damage to a vehicle. An object was located near the damaged vehicle and the incident is being investigated by officers.
At 8:53 p.m. an individual came to the police department to report an incident that occurred the night prior in which their vehicle was damaged. An object was located near the damaged vehicle and the incident is being investigated by officers.

04-30-2022
At 7:28 a.m. officers were dispatched to a residence at on River Street for a domestic disturbance between a husband and wife. The husband was later located at the fairgrounds and was taken into custody for domestic disorderly conduct.
At 11:28 a.m. officers were dispatched to a residence on N. Ohio Street for a domestic disturbance. The reporting party stated that her adult daughter tried choking her. The adult daughter was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping.

05-01-2022
At 11:44 a.m. officers were dispatched to a local motel for an attempted suicide. The male party stated that he tried overdosing on Adderall. It was determined that the male wanted to go to NCHCC voluntarily.
At 1:33 p.m. officers were dispatched to a local department store for a disturbance. It was reported that someone almost struck another person with a vehicle in the parking lot. There was a verbal altercation that took place between multiple individuals. The investigation is ongoing.
