04-04-2022
At 4:57 p.m. officers responded to a business after a female reported being followed, yelled at, and sworn at by a male. After investigation, the male was taken into custody for the incident.

04-05-2022
At 1:31 p.m. a building was reported to have been broken into during the last couple of days. The individuals had broken windows and painted graffiti inside. Investigation is ongoing.
At 3:55 p.m. an outdoor portable grill was reported as stolen from a home. Investigation is ongoing.

04-06-2022
At 11:16 a.m. a store reported a female had stolen merchandise. The female was cited for retail theft.
At 12:36 p.m. a caller reported someone had used her husband’s information to purchase a cell phone. The caller was found to reside in Marathon County and the reported theft took place in Madison. She was directed to the proper agency to investigate her complaint.

04-07-2022
At 7:43 a.m. a crash was reported on Pier St. at E. 7th St. The offending driver was cited for failure to yield right of way from a stop sign. A crash report was completed.
At 1:07 p.m. a store reported a male inside that had used a product and placed it back on the shelf two days in a row. The man was cited for retail theft and arrested for a probation violation.
At 3:02 p.m. a caller reported his mother’s boyfriend had struck him with a baseball bat. The adult son had minor injury to his hand and thigh. It was found the caller had shot a toy gun at his brother. The boyfriend attempted to use the bat to knock the toy gun out of his hand striking him in the hand and leg in the process. The boyfriend was arrested.
At 4:12 p.m. a caller reported a possible abduction after observing a female walking down the street and a male in a vehicle pull up to her, grab her and she then reluctantly got into the vehicle. The couple were located nearby and explained they had a verbal argument while parked. The female became upset and began walking away. The male followed, gave her a hug, and talked her into getting back in the vehicle. No crime(s) were found to have been committed.

04-08-2022
At 5:26 p.m. a vehicle was reported as stolen. The owner identified an individual who was believed to have taken the vehicle. Investigation is ongoing.

04-09-2022
At 12:29 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle after it was observed traveling without headlamps illuminated. The driver was found to be operating while under the influence, after field sobriety tests, and was taken into custody. The driver was issued two citations for the violation.
At 12:50 p.m. multiple juveniles were reported to have taken items from a gas station without paying for them and left before officer’s arrival. Investigation is ongoing.

04-10-2022
At 1:43 p.m. officers were dispatched to a store after a female was reported yelling inside saying that she is the owner of the store and that everyone is fired. Upon officers’ arrival to the store, the female had since left but was located a short distance away. The female admitted to raising her voice toward the employees after her credit card was declined and for telling the employees that they were all fired. The female was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
At 8:57 p.m. officers were dispatched to a fight occurring in a bar. When officers arrived to the bar, everyone had since left except one male. Officers attempted to speak with the male who then began to walk away and resisted officers’ efforts as they tried to place the male in handcuffs. The male was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting an officer. Two officers suffered minor injuries.
At 9:06 p.m. a property owner reported that a building he owns had been broken into and multiple things damaged inside. Two males were located in the area walking and were questioned about the damage. The males were later taken into custody for breaking into the building and damaging the property.
