Wind Chill Advisory in effect tonight until noon tomorrow

The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for central and northcentral Wisconsin from 10:00 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 19, until noon tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 20. The area included emcompasses all of Lincoln County, Marathon County, and 11 other counties in our area.

The Advisory predicts an arctic air mass will move into the area today and stay in place until Friday, creating subzero temperatures both tonight and Thursday night (if the winds continue), with bitterly cold wind chills as low as -15° to -30°, especially in this area.

Residents should use caution when going outdoors, as frostbite may occur in less than 30 minutes in these temperatures.
