Arliss Joseph Munro, age 75, of Merrill, Wisconsin passed away on November 29, 2021 at the Pine Crest Nursing Home. He was born on May 17, 1946 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Lloyd and Lena (Harkner) Munro. Arliss worked at Semling-Menke Company, Inc. as a woodworker and machine operator for over 47 years. Arliss enjoyed tending to his garden, hunting, and fishing. He was an incredible pool player, a big Green Bay Packers’ fan and liked playing poker. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and raising his chickens, rabbits, ducks, and geese on his hobby farm. His wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Arliss is survived by his son, James (Sara) Munro; grandchildren: Brianne (Trevor) Lepak; great grandchildren: Huxley and Harper Lepak; brothers: Ervin Munro, Floyd Munro, and Donald (Sue) Munro. He was preceded in death by his parents, former wife (Carol Wanda Yanda) and daughter (Julie Munro); brothers: Harold, Eugene, Earl, and Lloyd Jr. Munro.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Waid Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Merrill, Wisconsin, followed by a funeral service. Interment will take place at the Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Waid Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
