Judith Ann Lemke

Judith Ann Lemke, mothers never really die, they just keep house up in the sky, they polish the sun by day – and light the stars that shine at night, keep the Moon beams silvery bright – and in the heavenly home above they wait to welcome those they love. Poem author unknown.  June 4, 1939 – October 23, 2021

We celebrate the life of Judith Ann (Akey) Lemke. She was a devoted mother and wife of 60 years to Elmer Lemke. Together they lived life keeping family values close.  She along with family and friends created traditions snowmobiling and camping at upper Gresham Lake- where many memories were made that we hold near, many campfires, cardplaying, canasta, campfire songs, good food and floating in the lake.  Judy was a woman of strong faith that began with her attending Holy Cross High School and stayed with her all her life. As a member of Saint Francis parish she enjoyed being part of the choir for many years.   Judy worked at quality print for many years and eventually started her own business. She also became part of the Agra-Construction family for 20 some years. She met many friends along the way.   She will be missed by her dogs Beau and Jigs as they were a special part of her life.

Judy is survived by her children Paula(Michael Hunt), Jeff, Pam (Greg Dodge), Greg (Dawn); her nine grandchildren Justin July, Jayme July, Jenna July, Jared Dodge, McKenna Marion, Macy Marion, Grahm Dodge, Erin Lemke and Luca Lemke; her step grandchildren, Andy Hunt, Emily Hunt, Elsie Hunt and Jonah Hunt; and several great grandchildren.  Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Elmer; her brother Robert Akey; and her step grandson Isaiah Hunt.

The family welcomes anyone to join us in community mass at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, November 14, 2021.  A celebration of Judy’s life will be held that afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.at the Agra Pavillion/Riverbend Trail.
