10-4-2021
At 6:56 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious activity complaint in reference to a male party near the Post Office appearing to be under the influence of something. It was determined that the male was a juvenile and was previously with a female party. The female was located and admitted to stealing medications from a gas station and providing them to the male. The female was arrested for retail theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

10-05-2021
At 8:28 p.m. officers responded to a report of two loud explosions in the area of Wisconsin St. While responding, an officer observed a firework exploding in air from a distance away. Officers arrived in the area but were unable to locate any suspects.

10-06-2021
At 9:41 a.m. a caller reported a scam attempt. The caller reported she received a letter purported to be from her credit card company indicating someone had attempted to open an account with her information. She called the number provided in the letter and was prompted to enter her social security number which she did. She then became suspicious of this being a fraud attempt. It was found the number provided did not in fact belong to her credit card company and this was indeed a scam attempt. The caller reported the matter to her credit card company and the Social Security Administration.
At 1:55 p.m. a caller reported a male, who appeared to be intoxicated, had fallen in the street and was now stumbling around the railroad tracks. Officer located the male and found he was indeed intoxicated. He was also found to have a warrant for his arrest through Lincoln County. He was arrested for that warrant.
At 4:32 p.m. a caller reported the theft of a package from her apartment building. The items showed as delivered and were confirmed delivered by the post office but they were not present at the apartment.

At 4:51 a.m. a business reported an employee was scammed the previous evening. The employee received a phone call reportedly from someone associated with the corporate office. The person told the employee they needed to pay for services from a shipping company or they would be fined $20,000. The employee sent a large sum of money via crypto-currency. Investigation continues.
At 2:02 p.m. a caller reported her intoxicated neighbor entered her apartment and pulled his pants down as though he was going to relieve himself. It was further reported he had been outside of the apartment complex naked from the waist down and was observed urinating outside of the complex. Another neighbor reported the same. The man will be charged with criminal trespass and lewd/lascivious behavior.

At 6:25 p.m. officers were called to a report of an intoxicated, nude male party walking down E. Main St. The male was located by the officers and arrested for disorderly conduct.

10-09-2021
At 10:07 a.m. an officer responded to a report of a theft. The victim stated he had 12 tires stolen from the back of his truck along with a barrel of wire scrap. The investigation is ongoing.
At 10:33 a.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic incident. It was discovered that the female victim was battered by her boyfriend. The male party would not allow the female party to leave, and had threatened her if she reported this incident. The male party was no longer on scene when officers arrived. The male has yet to be located. The male faces charges of domestic related disorderly conduct, domestic battery, false imprisonment, intimidating a victim, and bail jumping.
At 8:50 p.m. officers responded to a residence for a report of a domestic incident. It was discovered that there was a verbal argument between a male and a female party when the male attempted to hit the female knocking her glasses from her face. The male was arrested for domestic related disorderly conduct.

10-10-2021
At 12:32 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a gas station on E. Main St. for a report of a customer attempting to pay for merchandise with a counterfeit $20 bill. The clerk did not accept the bill and was able to identify the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
At 12:51 p.m. an officer responded to a gas station for a gas skip. The clerk of the gas station was able to obtain a license plate for the vehicle which returned to a business out of Madison Wisconsin. The business was closed for the weekend upon the officer attempting contact. The investigation is ongoing.
At 4:53 p.m. officers responded to a battery complaint. It was determined that one male party had pushed another male party without their consent. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to jail.
